This is a luxe, ultra soft, and versatile scarf, that is a perfect gift for friends, family, teachers, and for yourself. Classy and cozy. This scarf is hand-loomed, machine-woven, and then machine-brushed for added softness. This unique, artisanal scarf collection is made by a family of Indigenous artisans living in the volcanic mountains of Ecuador. Poko has worked with them since our very beginning, and we have had the privilege of watching their operation grow with ours each year. Pokoloko co-owner Case Bakker is the godfather to their youngest daughter, which is a great honor in their community. We are thrilled to be able to support them through a sustainable, fair trade relationship. The colors and patterns in these scarves is a result of self-directed generational knowledge that has been passed on by this artisan family and their surrounding community for decades. The artisan alpaca collection is one of Poko's original collections, and it continues to thrive and evolve today as a best-selling feature in so many of your shops. The Pink alpaca scarves are offered by colour as indicated, but each individual scarf is unique with its own nuanced combination. For example, 2 scarves will both be pink but may come in different combinations of pink. Variation is not guaranteed but it is likely. Please note these scarves have a serged edge, and so are easier to make than the scarves with a seamless edge. For this reason, they come at a lower price point than the seamless scarves.
